Global Association Case Study

Challenge:

This international association has 86,000 members around the world, so transitioning to a new logo and providing updated marketing materials to all of its member chapters was no small undertaking. The association needed a way for each of its 187 chapters to customize, order, and receive the new materials in a timely and accurate manner.

Solution:

The association called on Kelmscott Communications, the company that had been providing them with print and marketing materials for over twenty years, to devise a solution. Kelmscott set up and tested a custom Internet storefront, linked to the association’s main website, where representatives from each chapter could go to order their customized marketing materials. Emails were sent out to the chapter presidents, or a designated board member, telling them how to find the storefront, customize the items and place their order. PDF proofs for each item were sent for approval. Once approved by the chapter representative, the items were produced and shipped. Shipping confirmation and tracking information were provided for each order.

Results:

Chapters began receiving materials soon after the site was launched. All materials were ordered and received during the two-month period the site was operational. The individual chapters, as well as the international office, were able to approve and track orders online, ensuring speed and accuracy throughout the process.
