Timing is Everything When Recruiting Seniors
A Catholic university located in metro Chicago wanted to launch a search for ethnically, racially, and religiously diverse high school seniors that would generate inquiries and set the stage for future solutions aimed at students most likely to enroll in the university’s undergraduate and graduate programs.
Kelmscott Communications’ deep knowledge of higher-education search categories and list activity was crucial in the execution of this project. Prospects in their senior year of high school are subject to unique pressures and incentives, so understanding how and when they are likely to respond to a particular campaign can make the difference between success and failure.
Using a variety of purchased lists and a range of response mechanisms, Kelmscott Communications helped the university determine the seasonal relevance of particular lists through data displayed on the online dashboard. Additionally, the collected data was sorted through the Kelmscott online dashboard in a number of ways to produce information about the seasonal relevance of specific mailing lists.
Results showed that seasons matter when it comes to list activity. For instance, the search data revealed that a scholarship mailing would perform best in late summer, a general mailing in September, and a diversity-driven list in November.
Timing is everything. Isn’t it time to let Kelmscott Communications’ ConnectTM strategy go to work for your institution?
